Well, RTS is no more, as was promised when we came back for the TPL. Unfortunately we lost to CaQ in the finale after beating RR, but they earned it and the one black mark on our record does little to diminish our accomplishments. I have had the pleasure of leading what may have been the best clan of our time, only to be beaten by the best defense I have ever witnessed. Our specialty was an offense that, as one CaQ member told me, had 'the amazing ability to scare a clan into going all D'. We ran most of our matches recklessly, and rolled the dice at every turn. The credit for our playing style goes to DJ316. I acted mostly as the recruiter and acting organizer of practices. Every player in RTS improved his skills immensely along the way. The only disappointment is that we lost our final match, for I am proud of every one of you.

I couldn't bear it, so I talked Tallas back into RTS. We're back in full force, and we will OWN YOU ALL. Mwahaha. Thus, my small contribution to RTS. Now let's get in there and show TPL who's boss! This is it...this is our finest hour. Give it all you've got!

Hrm... been a while since I bothered to update, but we beat RR in a 4-round affair... well... 1 round, 2 crashes, then another round. It all adds up, in points and headaches, but thankfully Akatosh seems to have fixed most of the crash problems related to basestpl and spam. And god the spam. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking otherwise, both we and RR spammed the shit out of each other. We outspammed them in round 1, they outspammed us in round 2. That's all mega-tf is about, after all... spam. Not like skill and practice have anything to do with it, nope. Argh. Well anyway we end the TPL regular season undefeated, and have to wait a few weeks for the playoffs to start. If we get bored enough, I still won't play POTR. kthxbye.

Hi. I'm Tallas. I never, ever update this page. Ever. However, since I am updating it, I may as well note that we chewed up and spit out SF last sunday. Wraa. Ph33r. RTS now has an untouchable 24-0. The match with RR is sunday on bases, and it's 8-8. Thanks, keef. Oh, btw. Kenjura's back. We'll get rid of him as soon as possible. Now let's beat RR senseless! Not that they have much sense to be facing RTS again, mwahaha!

Ironically enough, after I mentioned Cleetus in a shameless little plug last update, he has moved on from RTS. He was the first player I successfully recruited who wasn't part of the starting core (yes, even before my own brother), and made many positive contributions to the clan. We all wish him luck. Back to the mandatory TPL news that concerns us... we defeated WDR last Sunday on sewer rather handily... sort of. They sported an all-engineer defense in round 1, later went all spy, and sent 10 scouts at the rush in round 2. Made it fun, and unique, but I can't really say they tried to win. GG nonetheless, it brought a smile to my face to see something so bizzare :) Macdaddy picked up his second MVP. With RR's narrow defeat of SF, we stand alone on top of the TPL ranks for the first time. To stay there, however, we are going to have to be on top of our game. We play both powerhouses in the next few weeks, then RoT in an exciting looking conclusion to the season. Stay tuned for later infrequent updates :P

Hi, it's me, your lazy leader with some long overdue news concerning TPL. We won the appeal against ET, slaughtered DdB on 32smooth (but they were good sports, and I don't think we camped the spawn area this time :P), and defeated Bs on bam4 just last Sunday. WDR comes up on sewer this Sunday at 9:30 EST - it's an odd map but by now you should all have the hang of it. We are a perfect 6-0 in league play, and SF is the only other remaining clan in TPL without a loss. We rematch them on 2fort5 a few weeks from now. We also welcome THREE new members since last update: Deftone, Dom Devore, and Zenetusken. All have experience with successful clans, and all will make us a better, deeper team. Kenjura may return in about two weeks as well. In a side note: former member Nutz is now a recruit for CaQ, my second-favorite clan in mega-TF, and thus I wish him luck :) A member has hinted that we don't mention him enough around here... so... Cleetus *cough*

We're coming off two consecutive close, excellent matches with CaQ and BeL, winning both by small margins. Scores can be seen in the records section of our website. I stuck the POTR scrim up there after much debate, not that anybody is likely to care. Guhm, Akatosh, Starscream, and Rise were all named core after the CaQ match, though Guhm only was a cheerleader for that :D Virex decided to go back to nR yesterday, citing 'nR needs my help' as his reason. Good luck to him. ET finally decided to appeal their forfeit after 3 weeks and make us play, and it remains to be seen where that will go. It annoys me to no end that they won't let it go, but they probably don't care for my attitude towards them either. Next up are DdB, Bs, and WDR - three clans coming off losses, so we should have the momentum in our favor for a while. I will refrain from doing extended match reviews in the news, epecially this time, because it would become bloated and drawn out - but shortly I will add some to our record section, probably starting with the most recent ones and working back.

Well, the ET match never really happened, and ended with them forfeiting because they did not show up by the appointed time. I'd have tried to play them if we were quickly able to do so, but ET showed up an hour late, and Tiger tried to blame me for not wanting to reschedule. Sorry, you Euros are nearly impossible to schedule with, and Saturday afternoon matches do not interest me in the least. So it goes down as a cheap win for us. On another note, TPL is taking this week off for Easter, so the CaQ match has been postponed to the 22nd at 9 EST. RTS is also taking Easter off, by which time DJ should be back and completely uninformed of these events ;)

Something I failed to mention about the TPL caused us a lot of headaches this week: maximum rate in matches is 5000. Not only is it somewhat of a lame rule, but I didn't remember it and we had 4-5 players break that rule against OP. Now I'm gonna blame myself for this one, even though the ref goofed, but since now everyone knows I do not want to see anymore of it. Rain left RTS just before our OP match, which was a well-played game by both sides, and if not for the unnecessary appeal afterward, I'd have called it our first good game in a while. We get to play ET tomorrow (meaning most of you won't have read this by then), at 2 PM EST. Ping there will be bad, so I don't want to hear any whining. We all know it's going to happen, so just deal with it. I expect this game to be a good one, and a difficult one, but I know you guys are up to it. And you'll have to, because we have another difficult match next Sunday against CaQ, at 9 PM EST. We also welcome Virex into our fold, as I spit on Inferno's desire to play other games :)

Well well, after all the bitching and moaning, TPL finally kicks off today. That is, everyone has to have matches scheduled by today, and so we have. We play OP this Sunday on ewg3tpl at 8 PM EST. A couple of notes on rule changes... TPL has implemented anti-camper ents into all their maps. While I do not know if mapchecking stops you from connecting should you have the old map, best to click HERE to make sure. Also, no det holes will be allowed under a broad 'map expolits' rule for which the penalty is an instant forfeit. So don't do it. The impact1 glass is *not* considered a hole, BTW. Also, in a very frustrating and odd turn of events, Qizmo has been allowed into what was previously a no-proxy league. Hopefully by the time we play ET in week 2, we will at least have a decent Qizmo server somewhere for those of us who don't ping Europe very well. Also, playing ET means we will have to schedule an early afternoon match, probably between noon EST and 3 PM EST on either Saturday or Sunday. I need to know who can make those times. Finally, Shadow has returned to RTS, albeit in a part-time role :D

I've come up with a good excuse to update: we have received two new members :D Overlord and Rain are both very experienced players who will add even more depth an already deep RTS. I would like to thank POTR for the practice (yeah, not even I will call that a scrim) on well6, for it showed we need to work on some things concerning the defense. Macdaddy has been promoted to core; it still means very little but I appreciate the job you've done for us for the longest time. Actually, I had made him core a while back, but I had failed to mention it until now. Another thing I want to add is that the first two maps in the TPL map pack (which you should already have, if not look below), ewg3 and h4rdcore, are 'broken' and thus we are faced with another delay. At this rate it'll be mid-summer before the season ends, and that likely means some of you will have moved on or will be unable to participate. Bah to that. Guhm is your new offensive leader on the increasing occasions that I am needed on defense, but you guys have been very self-sufficient and capable, to the point where I almost don't have to name anybody to that position. WDR posted some unflattering reviews on our sportsmanship on their website, but it is also the first, so hopefully we'll get to see how 'lame' we are in comparison to other clans in the near future. Their review was somewhat accurate, though a few points were embellished and if I had to, I could support my claim quite thoroughly. I think the real lesson here is to "live and let die". How you interpret that is entirely up to you.

We 'beat' merr yesterday by forfeit, and then defeated SF in an unofficial scrimmage. Shadow left mega-tf, and Kenjura decided to show up again. TPL starts nice and soon, so get the maps. I'm not kidding, go get the god damn maps. I don't want to see people 3 seconds before the match asking for the map. No, you don't already have them. Trust me. Get the maps. Go to the TPL Homepage or this server. That should be all. Oh yeah, and Tallas...for god's sake, update the news page more than twice a month. It's not like you're ridiculously busy...

Whee. It's roster turnover time, and just in time for TPL! (Actually, I'm being sarcastic.) TPL still hasn't started, no thanks to HoP and SWAT dropping. Speaking of HoP, we landed Clean and Onit, longtime leaders of the longtime powerhouse clan. I can smell the fear out there already :) Syntheros has gone inactive for a good while, Knuckles may finally be returning, and Nutz decided to move on from RTS and megatf in general. He will be missed. Other clans are similarly revamping their rosters, just in time for TPL! :D Bah, anyway, that's my main excuse for not finding you guys a match yet. I'm too lazy and angry to post about TPL specifically, just keep up with the news on their website: TPL Homepage. Hmm... that's all.

Once again, me being lazy as hell with the updates. I guess I'll just tell ya I formatted twice in the last week and hope you don't all get TOO mad. Anyway, we won two matches since last update, pounding LSD on 2fort5, and just barely edging by RR on well6. Both games had things I could complain about, but the truth is overall they were fun and winning both brings us to a perfect 9-0. The RR game was really good so maybe I'll do a writeup on it in the near future. Our newest member is Rise, a longtime member of MERR, and as such, is a longtime friend of about half of RTS :P He got an early taste of action, RTS style, in the RR match - and performed admirably, despite being our last resort on well6 (for lack of experience). Specious is now on cable, and may possibly return to active duty if work permits. Draven too is considering his return, and I am looking forward to having both around soon. There's more news, but I'm going to let it stew until the next update... especially the info concerning TPL...
